Will
I, Henry L. Jewett, of the City of Macon, County of
Bibb and State of Ga. being of sound mind and
disposing memory, do hereby make and declare this
to be my Last Will & Testament, hereby revoking all
other Wills which I have , or may hereafter have made
Item 1st = I desire that after my death my body
shall be quietly and decently intered in Rose Hill
Cemetery near the graves of my children and Kin-
dred and that a neat and durable but inexpensive
grave stone shall be placed at my grave to mark
the place of my interment and that the cost of the
same and also the expense attending my last illness
together with any debts which I may die leaving
unpaid shall be paid by my Executors to be herein-
after named, out of any ready money I may die
possessed of, and out of the money to be recieved from
the Manhattan Life Insurance Company of New York
upon the Policy upon my life, of Twelve hundred and
fifty Dollars, payable at my death to my Executors,
Administrators or assigns, and out of the proceeds of the
sale of Twenty Shares of Capital Stock of the First
National Bank of Macon, Ga. of which stock I
die possessed of One hundred shares
Item 2nd
To God whose goodness and mercy I have
so abundantly experienced during my whole life
I hereby commend my soul, in the hope of the
Christian faith, solely relying, as I hereby trust upon
the merit of the precious blood of Jesus my redeemer
being persuaded that God is able to Keep that which
I committed to him when but a youth, against
that day
Item 3rd
It is my Will that the money recieved by my
Executor from the Manhattan Life Insurance Company
upon its Policy of Two Thousand five hundred Dollars
upon my life, made payable to my wife Martha
