R.E. Estate of John Haile, Deceased,
                   To James C. Lamb, Esq. Probate Judge
in and for the County of Henrico, in the State of
Virginia.          Richmond. Virginia
                                  The annexed Last Will
and Testament of the Late John Haile, as also the
Codocil thereto having been duly filed in this Court
for Probate thereof and it appearing that the subscri-
bing witnesses both to said last Will and Codocil, are
non-residents of the State of South Carolina, residing
at Richmond in the State of Virginia and reposing
especial trust and confidence in the integrity, care
and circumspection of you the said James C. Lamb
Probate Judge as aforesaid:
      Now Be it Known unto all whom it may
Concern, That the undersigned, H.L.P. Bolger, Judge
of the Court of Probate in and for the County of Charleston
in the State of South Carolina, in pursuance of the
power and authority vest in said Court, in and
by the laws of the State of South Carolina, and of every
other power and authority thereunto enabling, Do hereby
for and in behalf of said Court of Probate give, grant,
and confirm unto you the said James C. Lamb, Probate
judge as aforesaid, full power and authority under this
Commission, at such time and place as you may
direct to administer the necessary oaths and to take
the testimony of W.R. Massie and J.E. McKenny, two
of the subscribing witnesses to said last Will and Tes-
tament as also the testimony of W.R. Massie, Charles
U. Williams and J.E. McKenny, the subscribing witnesses
to the Codocil to said Last Will and Testament touch-
ing and in proof of the execution of said last Will
and testament and Codocil thereto by the said John
Haile, and of the capacity of said Testator to make
and execute the same, And that upon the execution
of this Commission that you do forthwith return the
same, together with said last Will and Testat Codocil
unto this Court under your hand and official seal
with your certificate in writing thereto attached
  In witness whereof the said H.L.P. Bolger, Judge of the Probate Court as aforesaid
(seal) does hereby issue this Commission and set hereto his hand and the seal of said
Court this thirtieth day of November A.D. 1897   H.L.P. Bolger Probate Judge
