                   I. James C. Lamb, Probate Judge in and
for the County and State aforesaid, duly authorized, commissioned
and qualified under the foregoing Commission issued by
the Court of Probate in and for the County of Charleston in
the State of Southcarolina to administer the necessary oaths
and to take the testimony of W.K. Massie and J.E. McKenny
two of the subscribing witnesses to the last Will and Testa-
ment of John Haile, as also the testimony of W.R. Massie
Charles U. Williams and J.E. McKenny the subscribing
witnesses to a Codocil to **** Last Will and testament, touching
and in proof of the execution of said Last Will and Tes-
tament and Codocil therein by said John Haile and of
the Capacity of said Testator to make and execute the
same
  Do hereby certify, that pursuant to such authority
and power, I was attended at my office in Room
No. 8 in the City Hall in the City of Richmond, in
the State of Virginia on the 15 day of November A.D.
1897 by the said witnesses, That each of said witnesses
was of sound mind and lawful age, and were by
me first carefully examined and cautioned and
duly sworn to testify the truth, the whole truth and
nothing but the truth, and they thereupon testified
as is shown in their testimony hereto annexed, and
that their testimony was by each of them sub-
scribed in my presence
      In Witness whereof, I have hereunto set my
      hand and Official seal on this the 15th
(seal) day of November A.D. 1897.
