Testimony taken pursuant to Commission issues
by the Court of Probate in and for the County of
Charleston, in the State of South Carolina touching
the matters therein refered to in Connection with the
annexed last Will and Testament and Codocil
thereto of the late John Haile:
   W.R. Massie, being first duly cautioned &
sworn to testify the truth, the whole truth and nothing
but the truth, doth depose and say That he was
one of the subscribing witnesses to the annexed in-
strument of writing purporting to be the Last Will
and testament of the late John Haile, who died on
the 21st day of October A.D. 1897 at Richmond, in
the State of Virginia, That on the 24" day of June
1896, he was present and did see the said annexed
instrument in writing, purporting to be the Last
Will and testament of the said John Haile duly
executed by the said John Haile, in the presence
of witnesses A.L. Boulware and J.E. McKenny,
That the said John Haile at the time of execu-
ting the said instrument of writing, was to the
best of deponents Knowledge and belief of sound
mind and memory and understanding and that
witness and A.L. Boulware and J.E. McKenny in
the presence of each other and of the said John
Haile and at his request signed their names as
witnesses to the due execution of the same. That
said A.L. Boulware has since died
