Last Will and Testament of Thomas R. Kennedy

I, Thomas R. Kennedy, a resident citizen of Alachua
County, in the State of Florida, while in usual good
health and of disposing mind and memory, Do
in the fear of God, make, publish and declare
this instrument, written with my own hand
on this the 31st day of August, A.D. 1886 to be my
Last Will and Testament: That is to say
     First
  I give and bequeath to my eldest son, Andrew, my
gold watch, a relic of the Kennedy Family and
makers name, "Thomas Reid" Edinburgh No 116" is
engraved in the cap over the works, and should
my son Andrew die without issue I bequeath the
same to my next oldest son.
     Second
  I give, devise and bequeath to my wife, Cornelia
E. Kennedy, during, her widowhood all and singular
my real and personal property that I am
found seized and possessed of at my decease
for the use and support of herself and children
and that she may be enabled to give each child
equally as liberal an English education as my
estate will admit of, and it is my desire that
she give each child out of my personal effects some
memento of near equal value as they may elect
for a token of my love and memory
     Third
  From and immediately after the decease of my
wife Cornelia E. Kennedy, or on her continuing a
second Marriage, I give, devise and bequeath all
and singular my said real and what may then
remain of my personal estate and its income
equally, share and share alike to my then sur-
viving children and to the lawful issue of any
of my children that may then be deceased, to the
amount of their parents share: and to their heirs
and assigns forever, but no division of my real
estate shall take place until my youngest child
is eighteen years of age.
