children to be paid to their parents, and if they use it, to pay to
their said children respectfully interest on it.
     The principal sum, or what there may remain due at my
death, I devise to remain unpaid in the custody & control of
the said S.Y. Finley. The interest to be paid annually to the old poor
and needy persons of Trinity Church Parrish of Gainesville Fla
whenever needed, to be dispersed under the direction of James Chestnut
Senior Warden and W.W. Hampton Junior Warden, and their
successors in office, It being my will that this little fund shall
do as much good as possible. It is my will if the said S.Y. Finley
shall become tired of holding said principal sum and paying
the interest on it, that he do pay it at his pleasure to
the said Wardens of the Vestry of said Church to be reinvested
as a perpetual fund for the said aged poor and needy as aforesaid
It is my will that the said S.Y. Finley shall never be distressed
or pressed in the collection or payment of said money above
named.
     It is my will and desire and do hereby appoint W.W. Hampton
to be my Executor to carry out this my last will. And I do hereby
revoke all other wills heretofore hitherto made by me
     In testimony Whereof Witness my hand & seal in the presence
of Mrs. Mary B. Snell, W.W. Hampton and B.F. Jordan each of
whom is present, and requested by me to witness this my last
will and testament. Done at Gainesville Florida this the 22
day of May A D 1883

request of Mrs. Calvett the Testatrix and in
her presence witness the execution of the
above signature of said will, and that it
was read over to her and fully approved

State of Florida}   Before the subscriber personally appeared
Alachua County  }   B.F. Jordan who after being duly sworn deposes
and says, that he saw Isabella Calvett sign & seal the
foregoing Will, and that he together with Mary B. Snell &
W.W. Hampton witnessed the due execution thereof & signed the
same in the presence of the Testatrix & in the presence of
