Certified Copy of the last Will and Testament
of Thomas Napier deceased
    Charleston South Carolina
In the name of God, Amen.
          I, Thomas Napier formerly merchant and
now residing here, desirous of arranging my worldly
affairs and to prepare for the event of all living do
make and publish this my last Will and Testament
Imprimius;  I will and direct that all my just debts
and funeral expenses be paid so soon as may be
Convenient after my death
Item;  Should my dear wife Rebekah Napier survive
me, then I give, bequeath and devise all my goods
And Chattels, rights and credits, and tenements
and hereditaments whatsoever and whosesoever
unto my said dear wife for and during her natural
life and in consequence of the death of my beloved and
deeply lamented child Ann Theus*** Napier who was
to have been my sole heir at the death of my beloved
wife and myself, I now will and direct that all my
real property shall be disposed of to the best advantage
both as the time and property should be disposed of or sold
or as respect the Condition of said sale or Sales either at
public or private sale as the majority of my condition
or executors may think best. I will and devise that
as soon as my real property can be disposed of to advantage
so as to enable my executors to pay all my indebteness
as set forth above, That whatever may remain over and
above after paying all my legal indebteness shall be
disposed of as follows; at the death of my beloved wife
Towit, I give and bequeath to each of my grand children
the children of dear daughter in law Rebekah Theus Hebben
or their issue who may be living at the death of my wife
said issue taking the portion due to them through their parent
issue of my said daughter in law Rebekah the following to
each one Towit Simeon Theus Hebben, Rebeka Napier
Steadman James Hebben Junior deceased who has left
one son bearing the name James Thomas Napier Hebben
Mary Hayes Greenfield and Sarah Ann Peck To thousand
dollars each and I further give and bequeath the
additional sum of one thousand Dollars to Tomas Napier
Hebben one of my above named grand Children and the same
sum of one thousand dollars to Thomas Napier Stedman
likewise the same sum of one thousand Dollars to Thomas Napier
