Will Last Will and Testament of Mary J. Simms
I Mary Jane Sims of Charles County in the State
of Mary do make and publish my last will and
testament in manner following that is to say:
After the payments of all my first debts and
funeral expenses including a neat monument
to my memory to be erected over my grave at
the discretion of my executors hereinafter
named. I give desire and bequeath my estate as
follows:
Item 1st I give and bequeath to Amia Amanda Gardiner
of Baltimore City, in the State of Maryland,
daughter of the late Geo S. Gardiner the sum
of Eigh hundred dollars $800 00/100
Item 2 I give, and bequeath to Mary A. Gardner, daughter
of the said George S. Gardner the sum of three hun
dred dollars ($30000)
Item 3 I give and bequeath to Fanny T. Gardner, widow
of the late Thomas L. Gardner, Mary Louisa Gardner
George J. Gardner, and Joseph H. Gardiner, each
the sum of fifty dollars ($5000)
Item 4 I give bequeath and release, to and unto Joseph E.
Simms Gardiner, the note which I now hold
against him for the sum of One thousand dollars
($100000) and all interest accrued thereon upon
Condition nevertheless that he shall pay to his daug
hter Mary Myrtle Gardiner, and Stella Gertrude
Gardiner upon their reaching the age of Eighteen
Years respectively the sum of two hundred and
fifty dollars (25000) each.
Item 5 I give and devise to my nephew Constantine
Gardiner of Alachua County in the State of Florida
during the term of his natural life and no longer
with remainder over to the said Surviving and
lawfully begotten child or children of him the said
Constantine Gardiner. Share and share alike: all
that lot tract piece or parcel of land, and premises
Situated lying and being said Alachua County in the
State of Florida and being the same land by me from
a certain Mattie J. Gaskins and E.H. Gaskins her hus
band, containing forty acres more or less, and descri
bed as follows: North East Quarter of North East
Quarter, Section nine township ten South Range
