of Probate in and for said County;
Your Petitioner respectfully showeth unto your Honor
that James H. Roper, of said State & County departed
this life in the state of North Carolina on the 9th
day of August-A D 1883. That the said J.H. Roper made
a last will and testament, which said will was duly
Probated by the affidavits of R.G. Burton and John
T. McKinnon, two of the attesting witnesses to said
will, and that the same was probated by C.C. Wade
Clerk of the Circuit Court & Probate Judges in and for
the County of Montgomery & State of North Carolina
That your Petitioner together with Isaac Saunders
of the State of Rhode Island, were duly constituted
Executors of said last will & testament
Your Petitioner would further show unto your
Honor that said deceased died seized and possessed
of a considerable amount of perishable property
and that no one is legally authorized to take charge
of and look after the same.
Your Petitioner would therefore pray your Honor to ad-
mit the same to record in your office, and that Letters
Testamentary do issue to the Executors upon their complying
with the Statute in such cases made and provided.
