the acting executors or executor for the time being of this my will
to pay and satisfy or compromise or compound any debts owing or
claimed to be owing by or from me or my estate and any liabilities
to which I or my estate may be or may be alleged to be subject and
to accept any composition or any security real or personal for any
debt owing to me or my estate and to allow such time for the payment
of any such debt or composition (either with or without taking secure-
ty for the same) as to them or him shall seem reasonable and to refer
to arbitration and settle all debts accounts questions and things
which shall be owing or claimed to be owing from or to me or my estate
or be depending or arises between me or my said executord or executor
and any other person or persons and generally to act in relation to
the premises in such manner as they he or she shall think expedient
without being liable for any loss occasioned thereby IN WITNESS where-

   THIS IS A CODICIL to the last will and testament of me
WILLIAM FREDERICK LAWTON of Wyck HILL in the County of Gloucester
Esquire and which will bears date on or about the twelfth day of June
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two Whereas I have in and by my
said will directed my trustees or trustee for the time being to stand
possessed of the residuary moneys to arise from the sale and conver-
sion of my real and residuary personal estate thereinbefore devised
and bequeathed to them Upon trust amongst other things in the event
of there being no child of mine living at my death or born in due time
afterwards who being a son should attain that age or marry with such consent as
