Birkett F. Jordan, deceased,} 

   Petition for Probate of Will of Birkett F. Jordan
                       Deceased

To the Honorable H.G. Mason, County Judge, sitting and
acting as Probate Judge in and for Alachua County,
Florida.

The petition of W.W. Hampton, respectfully showeth
unto your Honor that Birkett F. Jordan late of the
City of Gainesville, Alachua County, in the State
of Florida, where he last dwelt, died at and in
Gainesville, Alachua County, Florida on the 17" day
of October A.D. 1906, posessed of goods and estate remaining
to be administered, leaving a widow Esther S. Jordan
and the following named minor children to wit:
Birkett F. Jordan Jr., and Esther Chestnut Jordan both
of said children being under the age of fourteen
years, That said deceased left a last Will and Testament
which is herewith presented for Probate, wherein his
wife, the said Esther S. Jordan is made the Sole Legatee
and devisee under the said Will, and sole Executrix
thereof, That the said Executors, being interested in the estate
bequeathed, this Petition is presented by the undersigned,
who has no interest under the said Will, or in any
of the estate bequeathed thereby, And your Petitioner truly
believes that the writing herewith presented and
exhibited as exhibit "A" to this Petition, is the true
Last Will and Testament of the said Birkett F. Jordan,
deceased, Wherefore, your Petitioner prays that the said
Will may be proved and allowed, and letters Testamental
issued and granted to the Executrix therein named
At Gainesville, Alachua County, Florida, on this 20" day
of October, A.D. 1906.
State of Florida}  Personally came before me W.W. Hampton, to me
Alachua County  }  well known who, being duly sworn, deposes and
says that the statements set forth and contained in the above and
foregoing Petition are true.     W.W. Hampton
