The Last Will and Testament of John
W. Gustine & Codicils thereto having been proven by William
H. Leas, one of the Executors named therein, It is ordered
that the said will be and is hereby probated and admitted
to record, and is hereby established as the last
Will and Testament of John W. Gustine decd.
Done and ordered this Nov. 28th 1885

State of Florida} Know all men by these presents that
Alachua County } I John W. Gustine, formerly of Carroll
County, State of Iowa, but new of Gainesville in Alachua
County, State of Florida being of sound and disposing
mind, memory and discretion but mindful of the uncertainty
of all human life, while I have the bodily strength
and mental ***** and discretion so to dispose of my
worldly affairs, do make, publish and declare this to be
my last will and Testament, hereby revoking and annulling
any and all former Wills and Testaments heretofore
made by me
Imprimis It is my will and desire, and I do hereby so direct
that after my decease all of my just debts and the
expenses of my interment shall be paid in full by
my Executor hereinafter named out of the personal
property or effects which I shall leave at my decease
Item I do hereby give and bequeath to my sister Terzah
Gustine the sum of Three hundred ($300.00) Dollars to
be paid to her by my Executors in money provided she
shall survive me,-the Same to be paid to her by
John W. Gustine
my Executor should she be living after my decease at
such time as my Executors shall have the funds wherewith
to pay the same without any sacrifice of any other property
to raise the same
Item To my son Gustavus Gustine, who I regret to say has not
shown to myself; or his mother, now deceased that respect
and regard which he should have done had he been
all mindful of the duty which a child due to its parents,
not however, as a punishment for his past miscon
duct, but because I am satisfied that he would squander |
