                  This Indenture made and executed this
16th day of October in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight
hundred and forty nine between John Dampier and Elizabeth
Dampier formerly Elizabeth Hobkirk of the State and County
aforesaid of the first part and William H. Carpenter of
the Second part, Witnesseth the Said John Dampier and
Elizabeth Dampier formerly Elizabeth Hobkirk for and in
Consideration of the Sum three hundred and fifty-Dollars
to them in hand paid by the Said William H. Carpenter
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath Granted
bargained and sold and by these presents Sold Conveyed and
delivered and by these presents doth bargain Sell grant
Convey and deliver Unto the Said Wm. H. Carpenter his heirs
and assigns all the following described lot or parcel of
Land lying and being in the County aforesaid And known
as the North West qr of Section Thirty-Six Township Ten South
of Range Twenty Two East Containing One hundred and Sixty
one acres and forty Seven hundredths to have and to hold
the Said before described premises together with the right
and appertaince thereunto belonging him the Said Wm.
H. Carpenter his heirs and assigns forever in fee Simple
and the Said John Dampier and Elizabeth Dampier formerly
Elizabeth Hobkirk for themselves their heirs executors and
administrators will forever Warrant and defend the right
and title thereto against the Claims of all persons Whatever
In testimony Whereof the Said John Dampier and Elizabeth
Dampier formerly Elizabeth Hobkirk has hereunto set their
hands and seal this day and year above written

Undersigned Clerk of the 
Circuit Court for the Counties of Alachua and
Levy Daniel Morrison Who being duly Sworn According to Law
deposes and Says that he Saw the within named John G. Dampier and
Elizabeth Dampier his wife Execute the foregoing instrument of
writing for the purposes therein expressed and that he Signed 
the Same as a witness
