and there being many cases ready for trials
It is ordered that the Clerk of this Court issue a Venire
to the Sheriff commanding him to summon from the body
of the county at large or from the bystanders Nine qualified
persons to complete the regular panel to serve as petit jurors
for the first week of this term of Court returnable forth
with
In open Court this 13th day of December 1898.

Whereupon the Clerk issued the following Venire
as by the Court directed

Alachua County Fall Term 1898
The State of Florida
To L.W. Fennell Sheriff of Alachua County
Greeting:
You are hereby commanded to summon
from the body of the County at large or from the bystanders
nine qualified persons to complete the regular panel
to serve as petit jurors for the first week of this Term
of Court returnable forthwith
Witness the Hon W.A. Hocker Judge as also H.C. Denton
Clerk and the seal of said Court this the 13th day of
December AD 1898 H.C. Denton

Whereupon come L.W. Fennell Sheriff of
Alachua Co and returns the Special Venire for nine
jurors to complete the panel of the petit jury for the
first week of this Term of the Court as having been
executed by summoning the following persons as
jurors to wit: Oscar Gamage George R. Taylor D.J.
Richbourg W.C. Matheson, S.C. Tucker Geo Snowden
J.G. Sherouse R.R. Ormand and J.A.J. Strickland
And now the panel of the petit jury being complete
there came as a petit jury for the first week of this
Term of the Court the following named persons who
were tested & found to be qualified to wit:
W.S. Turner, S.R. Harville J.A. Simonton, Oscar Gamage
George R. Taylor D.J. Richbourg W.C. Matheson, S.C. Tucker,
Geo Snowden J.G. Sherouse, R.R. Ormand and J.A.J.
Strickland
Whereupon the Court proceeded to sound
the Civil Docket
