                     In the Circuit Court of Florida Fifth Judicial Circuit
                     in and for Alachua County
To
 The Honorable William A. Hocker, Judge of the Circuit Court of Florida Fifth Judicial Circuit
within and for Alachua County:- Your petitioner, William C. Jackson would
respectively show unto Your Honor that he is a citizen and resident of the County of
Alachua, in the state of Florida, within the Jurisdiction of this Honorable Court: that he is
over the age of twenty one years; that he is desirous of obtaining a license to practice
law in the various courts of the State of Florida; That certificates are filed herewith
as evidence of the good moral character of your petitioner. The premises considered, your
petitioner respectfully prays that Your Honor will examine into the qualifications of Your
petitioner so to practice, and should your petitioner be found qualified, that a
license be granted him as provided by the Statutes of the State of Florida.
 And your petitioner will ever pray &c

practicing in the State and Federal, do hereby certify that we are well
acquainted with William C. Jackson of Alachua County, Florida and have known
him for several years and know him to be a man of good moral character.

            Application of Wm C. Jackson for license to practice Law }

William C. Jackson, a Citizen of Alachua County, Florida, having filed with
me his petition in due form for a license to practice law in the several courts
of the State of Florida and it being inconvenient for the Court to make
a personal examination into the qualifications of the said William C. Jackson
to so practice, thereupon, Hon Horatio Davis and Hon Syd L. Carter members
of the bar at Gainesville, Alachua County, Florida, are herein and hereby appointed
as a committee to examine into the qualifications of the said William C.
Jackson to so practice, and to report to this Court the result of findings
as provided by the statute in such cases
Done and ordered at Ocala, Florida, on this 8th day of June, A.D. 1898
