Saml. Russell Clk of the Circuit Court of Alachua
County personally appeared Samuel W. Burnett one
of the subscribing witnesses who under oath declared
that he saw the within deed executed by Franklin
Stewart & Frances M. Stewart for the purposes
therein expressed

This Indenture made the fifteenth day of December in the
year One thousand eight hundred and fifty Between
Eugene Van Ness and Charles W. Brush surviving executors of
the last Will and testament of Dr. Nehemiah Brush late of
the City and State of New York deceased of the first part
and Giles U. Ellis of Alachua County, in the State of Florida
Planter of the second part Witnesseth, that the said parties
of the first part by virtue of the power and authority to
them given in and by the said last will and testament
and for and in consideration of the sum of one thousand
five hundred and ninety seven 89/100 dollars 1597 89/100
lawful money of the United States of America to them
in hand paid at or before the ensealing and delivery of
these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
and the said party of the second part his heirs executors
and administrators forever released and discharged
from the same by these presents have granted bargained
sold, aliened, released, conveyed and confirmed, and by
these presents do grant bargain, sell alien release convey
and confirm unto the said party of the second part
his heirs and assigns forever All that certain section
of lands situate lying and being in the Arredondo Grant
in the County of Alachua, State of Florida, Known and
designated on a certain Map of said grant made by Messesr
Burr and Washington as Section thirty one (31) in
Township Nine (9) in Range Nineteen containing Six
hundred and thirty nine acres and twelve one hundreths
of an acre of land be the same more or less (639 12/100)
said section of land among others was bought in by and
struck down to the parties of the first part for the
heirs of the said Dr. Nehemiah Brush deceased
at a sale of said Grants made under order of the
Circuit Court of Johns County in the State of Florida
