                              This Indenture made this fifth day of
        March in the year of our Lord, one thousand Eight-hundred
        and fifty-two, between Henry E. Purviance of the county of
        Hamilton & State of Floria , of the first part and W.W.
        Scott of the county of Alachua & State aforesaid of the second
        part, Witness;
                      That the said party of the first part for
        and in consideration of the sum of Forty Dollars to him
        in hand paid by the said party of the second part, the
        receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained and
        sold and by these presents doth bargain and sell unto the
        said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns
        forever, all that certain lot of land situated lying and 
        being in the Town of Newnansville, County of Alachua
        and State aforesaid and designated on Plat of said
        Town as Lot No. five(5) of Block No. one(1) of Range
        No. Two(2), containing one half acre, more or less; together
        with all and singular the hereditaments and appurtenances
        thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining; and
        the reversion & reversions, remainder & remainders, rents
        and profits thereof, and also all the Estate, right, title,
        interest, claim or demand whatsoever of him, the said
        party of the first part, Either in law or equity, of, in,
        and to the above bargined premises, and every part and
        parcel thereof
                      To have and to hold to the said party of
        the second psrt, his heirs and assigns to the sole and 
        only proper use, benefit; and behoof of the said party
        of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever.
                       In witness whereof I have hereunto set
        my hand and affixed my seal this day and year
        above written.

        Peace personally came Henry E. Purviance the grantor
        in the forgoing Deed of conveyance and acknowledged that
        he had signed, sealed and delivered said Deed for uses
        and purposes therein expressed.

        affix my seal this 5th day of March AD 1852.
