This Indenture made the fifteenth day of March One thou-
sand eight hundred and fifty two, Between John H. Lewis and
Mary M. Lewis his wife of the first part, both of Madison, and
State of Alabama, and James Kincaid of Fairfield District
South Carolina of the other part, witnesseth that the said John
H. & Mary M. Lewis in consideration of the sum of Six thousand
Six hundred and Seventy three dollars and seventy six cents, to
them paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, have
this day granted bargained & sold unto the said Kincaid the
following tracts or parcels of land lying in the Arredondo Grant
County of Alachua, and State of Florida, to wit, Section Num-
ber Twenty three(23) Township Number Ten(10) in Range Number
Twenty, also the East half of Section Number Twenty Six(26)
in Township Ten(10) in range (20) Twenty, also the west half of
Section Ten(10) in Township Ten(10) range Twenty(20) reserving
such pass ways as were covenanted to William W. Lewis, To
have and to hold the same to him the said James Kincaid
his heirs and assigns forever and the said John H. Lewis
and Mary M. Lewis do hereby warrant, and will forever defend
the title hereby conveyed to him the said James Kincaid his
heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of all and every
person or persons claiming by through or under them, In Testi-
mony whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals the
day and year first above written

Before me John W. Otey Judge of
Probate of said County, and ex officio Clerk of said Court this
day appeared the above named John H. Lewis and wife Mary M.
Lewis, with both of whom I am personally acquainted, and
acknowledged that they had signed, sealed and delivered the fore-
going deed to James Kincaid on the day and year therein men-
tioned. And said Mary M. Lewis having on wife of said John
H. Lewis being examined by me privately separate and apart
from her said husband acknowledged that she had signed
sealed and delivered said deed to said James Kincaid freely
voluntarily and without any fear threat or complusion of
her said husband
