part~ The above named Lot or parcel of Land to be appraised by those
interested persons and the bond of the Salesman taken for double the
amount of the appraisement-and the Sale to be advertised in three or

Alachua County This Indenture made the nineteenth day
of March 1853 in the year one thousand
Eight-hundred and fifty three Between F. Hodges and
Martha Hodges wife of Simon F. Hodges in State and County
of the first part- Jacob Smith of the above said State and
County of the Second part-witnesseth that the parties of the
first part for and in consideration of the Sum of Six hundred
and fifty Dollars to them in hand paid by Jacob Smith of the
Second part before the signing and sealing of these presents the
receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted bargained
sold and conveyed by these presents do grant, bargain, sell and
convey unto the Said Jacob Smith his heirs and assigns all that
tract of parcel of Land Containing Three hundred and Twenty
acres being North West quarter of Section Three (3) Township
Twelve (12) Range nineteen (19) and the North East-Quarter of
Section four (4) Township twelve (12) Range nineteen (19) as
designated and Laid down on the map of the Aradondo Grant
made by Messrs Bear, Washington Mery it being one quarter
then out of the above mentioned Sections three and four pur-
chased by Simon F. Hodges the quarter Section
four W. White the quarter Section three (3) the quarter section
four (4) from James Gellons together with all and Singular the
above mentioned premises unto the said Jacob Smith his heirs
