            This Indenture, made the First day of January in the year of
          our Lord on thousand Eight hundred and fifty three, between George
          M. Paine, George R. Fairbanks and William A. Forward Commission
          ers appointed by the Circuit Court of the Eastern Circuit of Florida
          sitting as a Court of Chancery by orders or decrees made and entered
          at the City of St Augustine in and for the County of St Johns in a
          certain cause in Partition Depending in said Court. Wherein John
          H. Brush and others are complainants: and Moses E. Levy and 
          others are defendants, of the first part, and James Ritz, of St Johns
          County Florida of the second part. Witnesseth That whereas at
          a sale of Public Auction of certain Lands of the Arredonda Tract
          or grant advertized and held by Commissioners appointed in
          said cause.(in persuance of an order or degree of said Court made
          and entered in said St Augustine, on the thirteenth day of November
          AD 1848) at Micanopy on the said Arredonda grant on the 21st
          Day of Febuary A.D. 1849 the following described Lots or parcels of
          Land situate lying and being in the County of Alachua & Marion 
          in said State of Florida were struck off to and bid in by James
          Ritz he being the highet bidder, therefore to wit Section No 11 in
          Township No Ten of Range No 19 Containing Six hundred and
          thirty nine 39/100 acres being and lying in the County of Alachua
          State aforesaid and also Section No Seventeen in Township No Twelve
          in Range No Nineteen containing six hundred and thirty nine 20/100
          acres in the County of Marion as laid down upon the map of the
          said Arredonda Grant made on the 9th of Febuary in the year of our
          Lord 1826 by Messrs Burr, Washington, and Merry, Commissioners
