and fifty three Between John Macpherson Berrien of the City of Savannah
and State of Georgia of the first part and William May of the
State of Florida of the second part Witnesseth that the said party
of the first part and in consideration of the sum of Two thousand
five hundred and sixty dollars, to him in hand paid by the said
party of the second part the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
hath granted, bargained, sold, aliened, and conveyed, and by these presents
doth grant bargain, sell, alien and convey unto the said party of the
second part and to his heirs and assigns all that certain tract of land
situate in the County of Alachua in the State of Florida and designated
on the map of Survey and subdivision of the grant known as the
Arredonda Grant of which this is a part, made by David A. Burr
and Henry Washington on the ninetheenth Day of Febuary one
Thousand Eight hundred and forty six as section Thirty one(31) Township
nine(9) Range Twenty(20) containing six hundred and forty acres
together with all and singular the Tenements, hereditaments and appurten-
ances to the said granted and described premises belonging or in any wise
appertaining. To have and to hold the above granted and described
premises, with the remainder and remainders, reversion and reversions
rents, issues, and profits thereof with all and singular the appurtenances
unto him the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns
forever. And the said party of the first part and his heirs all and
singular the above granted and described premises with the appurtenances
and every part and parcel thereof unto the said party of the second
part his heirs and assigns, against him the said party of the first
part, his heirs and assigns and against all and every person and
persons lawfully claiming or to claim from, by, under or in trust
for him, them or any of them, Shall and will warrant and forever
defend by these presents
