          Alachua County  ) This Indenture made and entered into this
                          ) third Day of Sept in the year of our Lord
          one thousand Eight hundred and fifty three between Simion
          F. Hodges and his wife Martha Ann Hodges of the County and
          State aforesaid of the first part and James D. Colson all of
          the same place  Witnesseth that the said Simion F. Hodges
          and Martha Ann Hodges have this in consideration of the sum
          of Eight hundred dollars to them in hand paid at the sealing of
          and delivery of these presents the receipt of which they hereby
          acknowledge have this day bargained and sold and by these
          do bargain and sell to the said James D. Colson: All that parcel
          of Land lying in the County aforesaid, Known and designated
          in the maps of the Arredonda Grant the North East quarter
          of Section No (3) three in Townsip No (12) twelve of Range
          No (19) Nineteen Containing one hundred and sixty acres more
          or less  To have and to hold the same with all appurtenances
          to him the said James D. Colson his heirs and assigns forever
          and we do hereby Warrant and will forever defend the
          title hereby conveyed against all and every person and
          persons claiming by through us or any way whatsoever

          wife of said Simiom F. Hodges being examined by me
          privately seperately and apart from her husband ac-
          knowledged that she hath signed and sealed and delivered
          said Deed to said James D. Colson on the day of the Date
          thereof freely volunterrley and without fear threats or
          compulsion of the said husband the day and date above
