Know all men by these presents that I Moses
E. Levy of the State of Florida in consideration of the sum of Ten thousand
Dollars to me in hand paid by William R. Ryan of the City of Charleston Mer-
chant and Jackquilling Gee of Darlington in South Carolina Planter, have
granted, bargained, sold and conveyed and by these presents do grant bargain
sell and convey unto the said William R. Ryan and Jackquilling Gee and
their heirs and assigns All those several tracks or parcels of Land situate
lying and being in the State of Florida, being a part of what is known as
the Arredondo Grant: and numbered and described in a map of said grant
certified at St Augustine Florida on the 9th day of February one thousand Eight
hundred and forty six by David H. Burr and Henry Washington com-
missioners, pursuant to directions of the Commissioners appointed by the Superior
Court of the District of East Florida as the June term of the year 1842 that
is to say Section thirty (30) of Township Eleven (11) Range Twenty one (21)
Section Twenty nine (29) of Township Eleven (11) Twenty one
(21) Fraction Nineteen (19) of Township Eleven (11) Range Twenty one
(21) Fraction Twenty (20) of Township Eleven (11) Range Twenty one
(21) Lying to the North west of said Sections. Also Lots Number
twelve (12) being part of a grant of 20,000 acres belonging to the said
Moses E. Levy, North of said fractions which Lot originally contained
1,666 acres from which 160 acres have been sold from the North
West corner of the said Number 12, also the Spur of Cipress swamp
which runs in Lot Number Eleven (11) lying to the West of Lot Num-
ber twelve (12) and which Lot Number 11 hath been lately sold by Moses
E. Levy to Levi Hickson by agreement bearing date 13th January
1823 Whereas the Spur of the said Cypress Swamp was reserved
from sale by said Moses E. Levy but the rights to use the timber
from the said Spur was granted to the said Levi Hickson by
the said Moses E. Levy for his own purposes, and the said Levi Hickson
agreed to leave a Margin around the swamp for a wagon road
which reservation and privileges and benefits it is understood
are recognized and preserved in the Deed. Together with all
and singular the rights members, Hereditaments and apurtenances
to the said Lands belonging or as any wise incident or appertaining
To have and to hold the above described premises unto the said
William R. Ryan and Jackquilling Gee and their heirs and assigns forever
and I the said Moses E. Levy, my heirs Executors and administrators
Covenant with the said William R. Ryan and Jackquilling Gee
and their heirs and assigns that I the said Moses E. Levy are Seized
in fee of the above granted premises and that they are free from all
incumbrances Done or sufferde by me or any other person whom-
soever and also that the said William R. Ryan and Jackquilling Gee
their heirs and assigns shall and from this time to time and at all
times hereafter peaceably and quietly have hold and enjoy all and singular
the above granted premises and the hereditaments thereunto belonging
and incident without Let, hinderance, suit, Denial or interuption of any
person or persons Lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part
thereof or any right, title interest or trust at Law or in equity of or in
or to the said or any part thereof, And also that he the said
Moses E. Levy at the request and at the charges of the said William
R. Ryan and Jackquilling Gee their heirs Executors administrators
and assigns shall and will from time to time and at all times |
