This indenture made the twenty fifth day of October in the year of one
          Thousand Eight hundred and fifty three  Between Andrew Bates in
          the County of Alachua and State of Florida of the first part and
          Joshua N.G. McNalb of the same place of the second part whereas
          the said Andrew Bates is desirous to make provisions for his wife
          Sarah against future continengences and for her maintenance and
          support and whereas the said Andrew Bates is desirous that his
          said wife should enjoy the proceeds rents issues and income of her whole
          estate hereinafter more particular described during the term of her
          natural life free from the control liabilities or interference of any
          husband that she now has or may hereafter have Now therefore
          this indenture Witnesseth that the said Andrew Bates in consideration
          of the premises and the sum of one dollars lawfull money of the
          United States to him in hand paid by the said Joshua N.G.
          McNalb of the second part the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
          hath bargained sold aliened remised released conveyed and
          confirmed and by these presents doth bargain sell alien remise
          release convey and confirm unto the said Joshua N.G. McNalb
          of the second part the following property to wit One Negro woman
          named Caty aged twenty one or two and two children named Margret
          and Lula [1/4 quarter section of land lying on the south side of
          little Orange lake Bounded on the North by James F. Secrest
          and others West by Henry Sweeny on the south by Jacob Thomas
          and others on the east by Daniel       one horse cart three (3)head
          of horses one grey mare and a black mare and Colt Twenty three
          head of cattle twenty five head of hogs together with all and singu
          lar the tenements heredetements and appurtenances thereunto belonging
          or in any wise appertianing and reversions and reversions remainders
          and remainders rents, issues and proffets thereof, and also all the estate
          right title interest property possessions claim and demand whatsoever
          as well at law as in equity of the said Andrew Bates of the first
          part of in or to the above described property and every part and parc-
          el thereof with the appurtenances  To have and to hold all and singular
          the above mentioned and described property together with the apurten-
          ances unto the said Joshua N.G. McNalb his successors assigns
          in trust however to the said Joshua N.G. McNalb of the second
          part to keep and to hold for the use benefit and behoof of the said
          Sarah his wife with all the rents issues and profits thereof during the
          term of her natural life and then the said deed of trust to cease
          and Determine and the estate above described shall belong in
          fee simple to the heirs of said Andrew Bates in testimoney
          whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals this the 25th
          day of October A.D. 1853
