This Indenture made the twenty fifth day of March A.D. Eighteen hundred
and fifty three, Between Robert A. Child, party of the first part, and
Charles A.M. Mitchel Special Master of the Estate of Peter Mitchel
Deceased, party of the second part, Witnesseth, that the said party of the first
part, in consideration of the sum of six hundred & thirty nine dollars &
eight cents, to him duly paid, hath sold, and by these presents doth grant,
bargain, and sell, and convey unto said party of the Second part, his heirs
and assigns, all the following and described property, to wit, Section Six (6)
Township eleven (11) Range Twenty (20) & Section Twenty six ( Township Eleven (11)
Range Twenty one (21) in the Arredondo Grant with the appurtenances, and
all the Estate, title and interest of the said party of the first part therein,
This Grant and Conveyance is intended as a Security for for the purchase money
agreed to be paid for said land, now remaining unpaid & due, amounting to
the sum of Four hundred Twenty Six Dollars, which is agreed shall be paid
as follows, to wit, two hundred and thirteen dollars, on the twenty fifth of March
1854, and two hundred and thirteen dollars on the twenty fifth of March
1855, with interest of Six pr cent on each installment from dates until
paid, which payment if duly made will render this conveyance null and void the
otherwise the same the same shall remain in full force and effect.
In Witness Whereof the Said party of the first part hath hereunto set

Benj A. Putnam one of the Subscribing witnesses to the foregoing deed, and being
duly sworn, Says that R.A. Child Signed and Sealed Said deed in his presence
and in the presence William and James U. Fergason the other subscribing
witness, and delivered the same as his act and deed for the purposes therein
mentioned
