This Indenture made the 25th day of March, in the year
one thousand eight hundred and fifty three, Between Josiah Seckinger, of
Alachua County, State of Florida, party of the first part, and Charles A.M.
Mitchel Special Master of the Estate of Peter Mitchel decd, party of the
Second part, Witnesseth, that the said party of the first part, in con=
=sideration of the sum of two hundred and ninety dollars & Sixty six cents
to him duly paid, hath Sold, and by these presents doth grant, and convey to the
Said party of the second part, all the following discribed lands West half of
and South East quarter of Section three, Township Ten, Range Nineteen in
the Aredondo Grant, with the appurtenances, and all the Estate, title and
interest of the said party of the first part, therein, this grant is intended as
a Security for the purchase money agreed to be paid for the said land, now
remaining due, and amounting to the Sum of two hundred and ninety dollars
& Sixty Six cents, which it is agreed Shall be paid as follows, to wit, one
hundred and forty five dollars and thirty three cents on the twenty fifth day
of March 1854, & one hundred and forty five dollars and thirty three cents on
the twenty fifth day of March 1855, with legal interest from dates until paid,
which payment, if duly made, will render this conveyance void.

  I do hereby certify that on the day of the date hereof, personally appeared

Alachua, State of Florida, at the Town of Micanopy, within my jurisdiction,
Benj A. Putnam one of the Subscribing witnesses to the foregoing deed, and
being duly Sworn, Says that Josiah Seckinger Signed and Sealed
Said Deed in his presence, and in the presence of Clem E. Seckinger
and James T. Thomas the other Subscribing Witness and delivered the
Same as his act and Deed for the purposes therein mentioned
