which it is agreed shall be paid as follows, to wit, five thousand and
thirty dollars, and seventeen cents, on the twenty fifth day of March 1854,
and five hundred and thirty dollars, & Seventeen, on the twenty fifth of
March 1855, with legal interest from date until paid, which pay=
=ments if duly made, will render this conveyance void.

This Indenture made third day of December in the year of one
thousand eight hundred and fifty three, Between James T. Thomas of
Alachua County, Florida, of the first part, and Charles A.M. Mitchel
Special Master of the Estate of Peter Mitchel decd party of the Second part
Witnesseth, that the said party of the first part, in consideration of the
Sum of Four hundred and Sixty six 67/100 dollars, to him duly paid, hath Sold
and by these presents doth grant and convey, to the said party of the

Second part, all the following discribed lands, situate in^County of Alachua
and State of Florida, to wit, Section Number one of Township No ten of
Range nineteen, of the Aredondo Grant, containing Six hundred and
thirty nine acres, with the appurtenances and all the Estate, title and interest
of the said party of the first part therein. This Grant is intended as a
Security for the purchase money agreed to be paid for the said land, now
remaining due, and amounting to the sum of Four thousand & thirty Six
67/100 dollars, which it is agreed Shall be paid as follows, to wit, on or before
the 27th day of May next, with interest from the 27th day of May 1852, according
to the condition of a note bearing even date herewith, executed by the said
party of the first part, which payment if duly made this conveyance void.
