This Grant is intended as a security for the payment of eight hundred
and thirty two 74/100 dollars, with interest from the 25th March 1853, to be paid
on the 18th Dec 1854, according to the condition of a certain note bearing even
date herewith, which payment if duly made will render this conveyance void,

of the County of Alachua, Geo R. Fairbanks, to me well known, and a subscri-
bing witness to the writhin Mortgage, and being duly sworn, says that John B.
Denton signed & Sealed said Mortgage in his presence, and that Elizabeth
Denton, and Henry C. Denton, the other Subscribing witness, and delivered the
same as his act and deed, for the purposes therein mentioned.

This Indenture made the Sixth day of December in the year one thousand
eight hundred and fifty three, Between Mathew B. Hawkins of Alachua County
Florida, of the first part, and Charles A.M. Mitchel Special Master &c to
the use of the Estate of Peter Mitchel decd, party of the second part.
Witnesseth, that the said party of the first part, in consideration of the
Sum of Four hundred and seventy three 33/100 dollars to him duly
paid hath sold, and by these presents, doth grant and and convey to the
said party of the second part all the following described lands, situated
in the County of County of Alachua, and State of Florida, to wit, Section
No Thirty three, of Township No nine, of Range nineteen containing six
hundred and forty acres, and also Section No Four, of Township No Ten,
of Range No nineteen of the Arredondo Grant, as described upon
the Map of the same made by Burr and Washington in 1846, with
the appurtenances and all Estate, title and interest- of the said
party of the first part therein, This grant is intended as a security
said
for the purchase money agreed to be paid for the^above described land
now remaining due and amounting to the sum of four hundred
and Seventy three 33/100 dollars, which it is agreed Shall be paid as
follows, the sum of two hundred and thirty six dollars and seventy nine
cents, on the 25th of day of March next, with interest from the 25th day
of March 1853, and the further sum of two hundred and thirty six dollars
and seventy nine cents, on the 25th day of March 1855, with interest from
25th March 1853, which payment if duly made will render this conveyance
void

For and in consideration of the full payment of the sum
of money secured to be paid by this mortgage paid to me on
or about March 7th 1854 and endorsed on the original
mortgage I hereby make this cancellation and discharge
of this mortgage this December 7th 1887
