County of Alachua }  Know all men by these presents, that Isaac J. Carter
of Alachua County, and State aforesaid, in consideration of the Sum
of fifteen hundred dollars good and lawful money of the United
States to me paid by David I. Ridaut of the County of Alachua, and
the State aforesaid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby
give grant, bargain, Sell and convey unto the Said David I. Ridaut, his
heirs, and assigns, a certain tract or parcel of land; Situated lying and
being in the County of Alachua, and State aforesaid, and Known in the
official platts as the E 1/2 of the S.E. 1/4 of Section No. 13, T.8. R.18
S, and E, and the W. 1/2 of the S.E. 1/4 of Section No. 18, T.8. R.19. S and E,
and the E 1/2 of the S.W. 1/4, and the W 1/2 of the S.E. 1/4 of Section 18. T.8.
R.19. S, and E. containing three hundred acres more or less, with all the
privileges, and appurtenances thereunto belonging to have and to hold the
aforegranted premises to the Said David I. Ridaut, and his heirs and
assigns, in fee Simple forever, and I the said Isaac J. Carter, for
myself, and my heirs, Executors and Administrators, do covenant with
the Said David I. Ridaut, his heirs and assigns, that I am lawfully
Seized in fee of the aforesaid premises, that they are free from all
incumbrances, that I have good right to sell and convey the same
to the said David I. Ridaut as aforesaid, and that I will and my
heirs, Executors, and Administrators, Shall warrant and defend, the same
to the said David I. Ridaut, and his heirs and assigns forever
against the lawful claims and demands of all persons whatsoever,
    In Witness, whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal
this the 20th day of June A.D. 1853

Alachua County   } and for said, personally appeared S. Whitehead one
of the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing Instrument of writing, and to
me well known, and after being duly Sworn according to law, Says that
he witnesses the same for the purposes therein mentioned, and that he
Signed the same in the presence of the other Subscribing witness
