Alachua County   } Know all men by these presents that James B.
Bailey and Mary N. Bailey my wife of the County and State aforesaid,
have this day for and in consideration of the Sum of Eight hundred
dollars, bargained and Sold, to John L. Young, and his heirs, the
receipt of which Eight hundred dollars is hereby acknowledged, the following
tract or parcel of land, to wit, beginning at the North east corner of
Section Eight, Township Ten, and Range Twenty, running South 85, W. 40
poles to a Stake, from thence South 35 W. 48 poles to a Stake, from thence
South 49 W. 100 poles to a Stake, from thence South 58 poles to a Stake,
from thence North 85 East 148 poles to a Stake, North 85 east 20 poles
to a Stake, North 5 W. from thence to the original point of Starting,
containing one hundred and fifteen acres more or less, Also that Strip
of land lying between Section 9, and 17, of Township 10, Range 20, as
laid down in the map made by Burr and Washington, of the Arredonda
Grant, containing thirty nine 80/100 acres, more or less, being Situated in
the County aforesaid, to the Said John L. Young, his heirs, or assigns,
to have and to hold all and Singular the above described lands and
the appurtenances thereunto belonging, to his own proper use and benefit
forever, and the Said James B. Bailey and Mary N. Bailey his wife
do bind our Selves and our heirs, to the Said John L. Young and his
heirs, to them in the quiet and peaceable possession of the Said lands,
against all and every person or persons whomsoever Claiming or to Claim
the same, Shall and will warrant, and by these presents will forever
defend
          In Witness Whereof, we have hereunto set our hands
and Seals this the first day of September 1853

Alachua County   } Personally appeared before me Andrew Robb an
acting Justice of the peace in and for said County, Mary N. Bailey
wife of Jas B. Bailey whose name is affixed to the above Deed, and
after having examined her Seperate and apart from her Husband,
She acknowledged that she signed sealed and delivered the within
of her own will, and that she was not influenced through
fear, or the coercion of her Husband
        In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand
and Seal, this the first day of September 1853.
