State of Florida Alachua County
This Indenture made the twenty-third day of February in the
year one thousand Eight-hundred and fifty-two and in the Seventy sixth
year of the independence of the United States of America, between Moses
E. Levy of St Johns County, owner and Serephina Cheauvitau of Paris and
Joseph DeLevante of London Mortgagees of the one part amd Cornelius
Rain of the other part Witnesseth: That the said Moses E. Levy for
and in consideration of the sum of Four hundred and Eighty dollars
in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained
sold, aliened, conveyed and confirmed and by these presents doth
grant, bargin, sell, alien, convey, and confirm unto the said
Cornelius Rain his heirs and assigns that parcel of land
known as Section Seventeen Township Ten Range nineteen in
the Arredondo Grant
To have and to hold the said Cornelius Rain with
all and singular the rights, members, and appurtenances thereof
whatsoever, to the said Cornelius Rain being, belonging, or in any
wise appertaining, with the remainder and remainders, reversion
reversions ; rents, issues, and profits thereof to the only proper
use, benefit and behoof of the said Cornelius Rain his heirs,
executors, and administrators and assigns, in fee simple: and the
said Moses E. Levy for his heirs, executors, and administrators
do covenant with the said Cornelius Rain his heirs, executors
and administrators, that he is lawfully seized in fee of the afore
granted premises; that they are free from all incumbrances; that
he has good right to sell and convey the same to the said Cornelius
Rain as aforesaid; and that he will, and his heirs, executers, and
administraters shall warrant and defend the same, and every part
thereof to the said Cornelius Rain his heirs and assigns,forever
against the lawful demands of all persons, by virtue of these presents
