                  This Indenture made this the seventh day of January in
the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty four,
between William Townsend, and Nancy L. Townsend of the State and
County aforesaid of the first part, and Samuel R. Pyles of the same
State and County of the second part, WITNESSETH; that the said
parties of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of Twenty
five hundred dollars to them in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged, have granted, bargained, Sold, released, conveyed and confirmed, and
by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, release, convey and confirm unto
the said party of the second part, all of those certain tracts or parcels of land
lying and being in the County and State aforesaid, said tracts or parcels of land
being known and described as follows' so much of the East half of the North
East Quarter, and the East half of the south East Quarter, and the South
East Quarter of the South West Quarter, of Section Twenty one (21) and the
North East Quarter of section Twenty eight (28) and of the West half of the
North West Quarter, and the West half of the South West Quarter of
Section Twenty two (22) and the West half of the North West Quarter, and
the West half of the South East Quarter of Section Twenty seven (27) in
Township seven South of Range eighteen East, in the District of lands
Subject to sale at the said office at Newnansville Florida, as is situated in
Alachua County aforesaid, on the North and West side of a certain Stream
or Branch known as the Townsend Branch, which said lands were decreed
to Light Townsend by a decree in chancery of the Circuit Court of the eastern
Circuit of Florida, Sitting for the Counties of Alachua and Levy, rendered
on the fourth day of May in the year one thousand eight hundred and
forty eight, in a certain cause in Chancery, wherein the said Light Townsend
was complainant, and Joseph G. Bell, and others were Defendants; and the
said Light Townsend conveyed to the said William Townsend party of the first
part, by a deed of Indenture Executed on the Seventh day of September in the
year one thousand Eight hundred and fifty; together with all and singular
the tenements and hereditaments and appertenances thereunto belonging, or
in any wise appertaining and the reversion and reversions, remainder and
remainders, rents, Issues, and profit thereof, and also all the right, title,
interest, Estate, claim or demand whatsoever, of the said parties of the first
part, either at law or in Equity, of, in, or to the above bargained and
described tracts or parcels of land, or either of them in any part thereof;
And the Said Nancy L. Townsend party of the first part, wife of the
Said William Townsend, doth by these presents relinquish forever all Dower
and all right, title, or claim of claim of Dower which she
may or ought to have in the said above described tracts of land
hereinbefore conveyed unto the said party of the Second part, to have and
to hold to the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever.
And the Said parties of the first part, for themselves, their heirs,
Executors, and Administrators, the said tracts or parcels of land above 
granted and sold, and the said Dower and right of Dower, have
relinquished unto the said party of the first part his heirs and
assigns against themselves, their heirs, Executors and administrators, an all
persons claiming or to claiming by, through, or under them or either of
them, and against all and every person or persons whatsoever with
forever warrant and defend by these presents.
