Alachua County ) This Indenture made and executed entered into tenth
day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and
fifty four, Between Thomas C. Kittles of the above named State and
County, of the first part, and John Simonton of Fairfield District
South Carolina, of the second part, Witneseth, that the said
Thomas C. Kittles, for and in consideration of the sum of four thousand
dollars(4000) to him in hand paid, by the said John Simonton
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained,
sold, aliened, conveyed and confirmed and by these presents, doth grant
bargain sell, alien, convey and confirm unto the said John Simonton,
and to his heirs and assigns, all that certain tract of land Situate
lying and being in the County of Alachua, and State of Florida, and
designated on the Map of survey, and subdivision of the Arredondo Grant
as Section thirty five(35) and thirty six(36) Township eleven(11) Range
nineteen, containing together twelve hundred and seventy seven acres
(12770) together with all and singular the tenements, hereditaments,
and appurtenanas to the said granted and described premises, appurtaining
or in any wise belonging; to have and to hold the above granted and
described premises, with the remainder and remainderes, revision and revisions
rents issues and profits thereof, with all and singular the appurtenances,
said
unto him the^John Simonton, his heirs and assigns forever, and
the said Thomas C. Kittles, his heirs and all and singular the
above granted, and described premises, with the appurtenances, and
every part and parcel thereof, unto the said John Simonton, his
heirs and assigns, and against all and every person, and persons, lawfully
claiming or to claim, from, by or under, or in trust for him, them,
or any of them, Shall and will warrant and for ever defend by
these presents. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the said Thomas C. Kittles
** hath herewith Subscribed his name and affixed his seal on the

named Thomas C. Kittles do here by relinquish my right of Dower in the
certain plantation or parcel of land conveyed by the foregoing Indenture
