Justice of the peace in and for said County of Alachua, Elizabeth Thomas
wife of James T. Thomas whose name is affixed to the within Deed, and
after having examined her separate and apart from her said Husband,
she acknowledged that she signed Sealed and delivered the within Deed
for purposes therein expressed of her own will and that she was not
influenced by fear, or under influence, or by the coersion of her
said Husband,
In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal
this the 19th day of Febuary A.D. 1853.

This Indenture made the twenty fifth day of January in the year
one thousand eight hundred and fifty four, Between John W. Burnett of
Alachua County State of Florida, of the first part, and John K. Stephens
of the same place of the second part, Witnessth that the said party
of the second, for and in consideration of one hundred dollars lawful
money of the United States to him duly paid at and before the delivery hereof
hath bargined and sold, and by these presents doth grant and convey to the said
party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever, all that certain
piece or parcel of land, lying and being in the County of Alachua and State
of Florida, and which is known and described as follows, to wit, all that
portion of land South of a certain Branch or Stream running
through the southwest Quarter of the North West Quarter of Section
thirty one, in Township seven(7), south of Range nineteen East, con-
taining forty and 03/100 acres of land, together with all the Estate,
the Tenements, hereditaments, and appurtenances, and all the Estate,
title and interest of the said party of the first part therein, and
the said party of the first part doth duly covenant andand agree with
the party of the second, that at the time of the delivery hereof,
the said party of the first is the lawful owner of the premises above
granted, and seized therein in fee simple, absolute, and that he
will warrant and defend the above granted premeses in the quiet and
peaceable possession of the said said party of the second part,
his heirs and assigns forever
