                            Know ye that R.H Howren, Thos M.Gardner, W.
           M. Kennedy, John M. Hendry, J. W. Cooper, W.J. Turner, G.W. Boston, G.E.
          Mcllellan, J.W. Pearson, and their successors in office were appointed by
          the Florida Annual Conference of the M.E. Church South, a Board of
          Trustees for East Florida Seminary located at Micanopy, Florida

          This Indenture made the thirtieth day of December in the year of our
          Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty two, George M. Payne, George R.
          Fairbanks, and William A. Forward, Commissioners appointed by the Circuit
          Court of the Eastern Circuit of Florida, Sitting as a Court of Chancery by
          orders and decrees made and entered at the City of St Augustine in and for
          the County of St Johns, in a certain cause in partition defending said
          Court, wherein John H. Brush and others are complainants; amd Moses
          E. Levey and others are defendants, of the first part and Ruben S. Stoughton
          of the second part,  WITNESSETH; That, whereas, at a Sale of public auc-
          tion, of certain lands of the Arredondo tract or grant, advertised and held
          by the Commissioners appointed in said cause, in pursuance of and order or
          decree of said Court, made and entered in St Augustine, on the thirteenth
          day of November A.D. 1848) at Micanopy, on the said Arredondo grant,
          on the 21st day of Febuary A.D. 1849, the following described lots or parcels of
          land, situate, lying and being in the County of Alachua in said State of
          Florida, were Struck off to and bid in by, Joel B. Smith, he being hig
          highest bidder, therefor, to wit, Section No. 26 in Township No. eleven, of
          Range No. twenty, containing Six hundred and forty acres, and afterwards on
          the 9th day of December Eighteen hundred and fifty one, by a decree made
          by the Circuit Court of Alachua County Florida, in a certain cause wherein
          James Childs and others interested with said Joel B. Smith in the purchase
          of the said Section of land were complainants in a cause of partition against
          the parties of the first part, as Defendants, it was ordered and decreed that
          said Defendants as Commissioners aforesaid, should executed to the several
          parties in the said decree named, conveyances for the respective Shares and
          allotments in said decree respectively set forth with the conditions and
          stipulations therein imbraced, & a copy of which said decree has been furnished
          to the said parties of the first part hereto, and in accordance therewith
          said parties of the first part, do hereby convey and grant unto the said
          party of the second part, the following described premises, to wit, beginning
          at the North West corner of John S. Livingston Lot three hundred and
          twenty links North of the North West corner of the Public Square, Thence
          North forty four chains and sixty one links(44.61) to a lightwood post
          SP on the North boundary of the Section whence a pine S. bears S. 17. E.
          fifty links and a pine P bears S 24 3/4, W. 65 links and the 1/4 S. 7;
          North boundry bears East 2 42 links, said line being the west boundry
          of the land of the said R.S. Stoughton which is bounded on the south
          and on the east by the land of John S. Livingston, and which contains
          one hundred and seven acres being the place where said Stoughton lives
          and in accordance with direction of said decree of partition this
          conveyance is expressfully made by the said parties of the first part, and
