for himself, his heirs, Executors and Administrators, doth covenant with
the Said James S. Brice, and Christopher S. Brice, their heirs, Executors,
And Administrators, that he is lawfully Seized in fee of the afore granted prem=
=ises, that they are free from all encumberances, and that he has good right
to sell and Convey the Same to the said James S. Brice, and Christopher
S. Brice as aforesaid, and that he and his heirs, Executors and Adminis=
=trators Shall and will warrant and defend the same and every part
thereof to the said James S. Brice and Christopher S. Brice their
heirs and assigns for ever, against the lawful demands of all persons by
virtue of these presents and the said Mary McDonell for and in consideration
of the sum of one dollar to her in hand paid by the said James S. Brice and
Christopher S. Brice, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, doth for
ever release and remit to the said James S. Brice, and Christopher S.
Brice, their heirs and assigns, all her right and title to Dower in the
lands hereby aliened and Conveyed, testified by her executing these presents,

Alachua County } On this day personally appeared before the Subscriber a
Justice of the Peace in and for Said County, John F. McDonell and
Mary McDonell his wife to me well known to be the persons who executed
executed the foregoing Deed, and acknowledged that they had Executed the same
for the purposes therein mentioned, and the said Mary McDonell being
by me examined Separate and apart from her Husband, declares and
acknowledges that She executed the Same freely and voluntarily on her
part, without any compulsions, constraints, apprehensions, or fear of or from
her Said Husband. In Witness Wheereof, the Said Mary McDonell
hath hereunto set her hand and seal in my presence this 28th day of
January 1854 }
