Alachua County ) This indenture made on the twenty fourth day of
Feburary in the year one thousand eight hundred and fifty four, Between
Moses E. Levy of the County of St. Johns and State aforesaid, proprieter and,
Maria Serefina Chauvitau of Paris France and Joseph Delevante of London
England Mortgagaes of the first part and Washigcton W. Giejer of the County of
Alachua and State aforesaid of the second part, Witnesseth, that for & con-
sideration of the sum of six thousand and five hundred dollars(6,500) to them
in hand paid paid at &before the sealing & delivery hereof, the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged, the said parties of the first part have given, granted, bargained,
sold, transferred, & conveyed , and by these presents do so give, grant, bargain,
sell, transfer, & convey unto the said party of the second part, his heirs, executors,
Adminisrators and assigns, the following hereditainments or parcel of land situate
in the county & State aforesaid & known and described as follows, to wit, Fraction
Seven(7) of Township eleven(11) Range twenty(20) also Section thirteen(13)
of Township eleven(11) of Range nineteen(19) and likewise Section fourteen(14)
of Township eleven(11) of Range nineteen(19) as well as Section Eleven(11)
of Township eleven(11) of Range nineteen(19) Together with fraction three(3)
of the same Township & Range, said plantation or parcel of land forming a
portion of the Arredondo Grant and containing in all two thousand two hundred
and sixty acres more or less of land, and land covered with water, To have and
to hold the afore granted & described premises or parcels of land , together with all
and singular the buildings, houses, privileges, improvements & apurtenances to the
same belonging, or in any wise appurtaining, as well in Equity as in law, unto
the said party of the second part, his heirs & Executors, Administrators &
assigins, to his & to their only proper use and behoof in fee simple for ever,
An the said Maria Serafina Chavetaeu & Joseph DeLavante Mortgagees
as aforesaid do covenant & agree that the possession of the above conveyed
parcels of land by the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigins
shall never be disturbed by them, or by the lawful claims & demands of
any one claiming under them, and do by these presents convey & transfer
to the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, all and evey claim
or claims of every nature whatever which they have in or to the same
And the said Moses E. Levi for himself his heirs, Executors & Administrators,
covenants and agrees with the said party of the second part, his heir, Executors
Administrators & assigns that he is siezed in fee of the afore granted premises,
that they are free from all incumbrances; that he has good right to sell
and convey the same unto the said party of the second part, and that he
will, & his heirs, Executors & Adminstrators shall warrant and defend,
the same against the lawfull claims and demands of all persons whom-
soever, In Witness whereof, the parties of the first part have
hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals on this the day and the year
first above written.
