Quit Claim Deed. Joseph Lawton to George R. Fairbanks
This Indenture made and entered into this 10th day of
April AD 1852 between Joseph Lawton of Charleston, S.C. party of
the first part and George R. Fairbanks of St. Augustine, Florida
party of the second part. Witnesseth that the said party of the
first part in consideration of the sum of Three hundred & fifty
dollars to him in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged. Hath granted, bargined, sold, alien, released and
quit claimed unto the said George R. Fairbanks his heirs and
assigns all that portion of Fractional Sections Five & Six in
Township Nine Range Nineteen of the Arredonda Grant which
does or may fall within the lines of the South half of the Fernandez
Grant, so called in the County of Alachua Said quantity of land
so conflicting being estimated at Five hundred acres more
or less. To Have and to Hold unto the said George R. Fairbanks
his heirs and assigns free quit claimed and discharged of
and from all claim or demand of the said party of the first
part his heirs and assigns forever.

part hath hereunto set his hand and seal

On this 3rd day of May, 1852 personally appeared
before me Geo R. Fairbanks a subscribing witness to the within
Indenture and being duly Sworn saith the within Grants
were executed by the said Joseph Lawton in his presence
and that of the other subscribing witness A.J. Fairbanks and
duly acknowledged by said Lawton before them.
