Know all men by these presents, that I Sarah Geiger wife
of the within named Washington W. Geiger, do hereby relinquish my
right of Dower in the certain plantation or parcel of land conveyed
by the foregoing Indenture to Joel B. Smith.

This Indenture, made the thirty first day of December in the year
of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty two, between George
M. Payne, George R. Fairbanks and William A. Forward, Commissioners
appointed by the Circuit Court of the Eastern Circuit of Florida, Sitting
as a Court of Chancery by order and or decrees made and entered at the
City of St. Augustine in and for the County of St. Johns, in a certain
cause in partition depending in Said Court, wherein John H. Brush
and others are complainants, and Moses E. Levy and others are Defendants
of the first part, and Joel B. Smith of Alachua County, Florida of
the Second part, Witnesseth, That, Whereas, at a Sale of public
Auction, of certain lands of the Arredondo tract or grant, adver=
=tised and held by the Commissioners appointed in Said Cause, (in pursu=
=ance of an order or decree of Said Court, made and entered in St. Augustine
on the thirteenth day of November A.D. 1848) at Micanopy, on the
Said Arredondo Grant, on the 21st day of February A.D. 1849, the following
described lots or parcels of land, Situate, lying and being in the County
of Alachua in said State of Florida, were Struck of to and bid in by Joel
B. Smith, he being the highest bidder, therefore to wit; Section N 26
in Township 11 of Range No twenty containing Six hundred
and forty acres, and afterwards on the 9th day of December 1851
by a decree of the Circuit Court of Alachua County Florida, in
a certain cause wherein James Child and others interested with
Said Joel B. Smith in the purchase of the Said Section of land |
