          Deed of Gift from Asa Clark To Elizabeth Jane Ann Wellhoner

          State of Florida  )
          County of Alachua )  This Indenture made this 24th day of June in the year
          of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and fifty two between Asa
          Clark of the State and County aforesaid of the one part and Elizebeth
          Jane Ann Wellhoner, daughter of the said Asa Clark, of the other part
               Witnesseth: That said Asa Clark, as well for and in
          consideration of the natural love and affection which he the said
          Asa Clark hath and beareth unto the said Elizabeth Jane Ann
          Wellhoner, as well as also for the better maintainence, support and
          livelyhood of her the said Elizebeth Jane Wellhoner, hath given,
          granted, aliened, enfeoffed and confirmed and by these presents
          doth give, grant, alien, enfeoff and confirm with said Elizebeth
          Jane Ann Wellhoner her heirs and assigns.  The following described
          negroes and their increase Viz One negro women named
          Kate, seventeen years of age, of yellow complection, one by the name
          of Miley, ten years old, of yellow complection and one by the name
          of Frank, one year old, of yellow complection and twelve cows and
          calves marked, crop and ear bob in each ear, branded with the
          letters LW, together with their increase.
                   To have & to hold the said Negroes and cattle with their
          increase hereby granted and confirmed, or mentioned or intended
          so to be with their and evey of their appurtenances unto the said
          Elizabeth Jane Ann Wellhoner her heirs and assigns to the only
          proper use and behoof of her the said Elizebeth Jane Ann Wellhoner
          her heirs and assigns forever.
                    And the said Asa Clark for himself his heirs, executors
          administrators doth covenant, grant and agree to and with the
          said Elizabeth Jane Ann Wellhoner her heirs and assigns by these
          presents, that she the said Elizabeth Jane Ann Wellhoner her heirs
          and assigns shall and lawfully, May from time to time and at
          all times hereafter peaceably and quietly have, hold use, occupy,
          possess and enjoy the said negroes slaves heretofore mentioned, granted
          and confirmed, in mentioned or intended to be hereby granted
          and confirmed with their or every of their increase, clear and
          free and fully discharged as well and sufficiently saved kept
          harmless and indemnified of from and against all former and 
          other gifts, grants, bargins, sales, joitures, feoffments, dower and
          Estate and of from and against all former and other title trouble
          charges and encumberances, whatsoever had, done or suffered
          or to be had, made, done or suffered by him the said Asa
          Clark, his heirs and assigns, or any other person or persons
          lawfully claiming or to claim, by or under him, them
          or any of them.
                    The above named negeros and cattle to be
          a portion of her share of my estate & at my death to
          be deducted out of the division of said estate.
