THIS INDENTURE made the first day of October, one thousand
eight hundred and fifty one, Between Eugene VanNess
and Charles W. Brush, Survivingng Executurs of the last will and
Testement of Dr Nehemiah Brush late of the City and State
of New York deceased, of the first part, and Alexander Evins
of the County of Alachua, in the State of Florida, planter, of
the second part, Witnesseth, that the said parties of the first
part by virtue of the power and authority to them given
in and by the said last will and Testament, and per and
in consideration of the sum of two thousand five hundred and
sixty dollars (2,560) lawful money of the United States of
America to them in hand paid, at or before the ensealing and
delivery of these presents, by the said party of the second part, the
Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, and the said party of the
