      This Indenture made and entered into this twenty fifth
day of April in the year one thousand eight hundred and fifty
four, Between Saml J. Kennard and Ideler his wife of the Town
of Newnansville, Alachua County Florida, of the first part,
and George L. Brown of the same County, of the second part,
Witnesseth, whereas the said party of the first part, is justly
indebted to the said party of the second part, in the sum of four
hundred and ninety dollars and 4/100 dolls lawful money of the United
States, conditioned for the payment of two hundred and forty nine
and 2/100 Dollars, with interest thereon at 8 per cent on or before the
first day of January next ensuing, the date hereof as appears by his
certain bond, or writing obligatory bearing even date with these
presents, Now for the securing to the said party of the second
part the payment of the said bond, or writing obligatory, according
to the true intent and meaning thereof as also in consideration
of the sum of ten dollars by the said party of the second part
in hand paid at and before the ensealing and delivery of these
presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, the said
party of the first part, hath bargained, sold and delivered
and by these presents, doth bargain, sell, and deliver unto
the said party of the second part, all that tract or parcel of
land situate in the Town of Newnansville, County and State
aforesaid, and described as follows, as laid down in the plan of 
Newnansville, as survey by George Watson Jr County Surveyor,
in the summer of 1852, Lots No one (1) and two (2) Block No
three (3) Range No four (4) of said Town, with all the appurtenances
and all the right, title, interest, and demand of us in the

premises, to have and^hold the same with all the all the
appurtenances, hereditaments, thereunto belonging with
the said party of the second part, his Executors Executors, admin=
=istrators and assigns forever. Provided always nevertheless,
and these presents are upon this express condition, That if the said
party of the first part, their Executors or administrators or any of
them shall well and truly pay, or cause to be paid unto the said
party of the second part, his certain attorney, Executors adminis=
=trators, or assigns, the said sum of money mentioned in the conditions
of the said bond, or writing obligatory, with the interest thereon
and at the time therein mentioned, and according to the true
intent and meaning of the said bond, and the conditions thereof,
then as well this present Indenture, as the estate herein
conveyed shall cease, determine, and be null and void,
else to remain in full force and virtue.
