Know all men by these presents that I Jane S. Dean, wife of John A.
Dean, do hereby acknowledge that the foregoing relinquishment of Dower
was made by me freely and voluntarily, without any compulsion, constraint,
apprehension or fear of or from said Husband.

Alachua County   } This Indenture made on this fifteenth
day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and fifty four, Between John D. Hennes of the State and
County of the first part, and John B. Davis of Fairfield District
of the State of South Carolina, of the second part, Witnesseth,
that for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars
to him in hand paid, at and before the Sealing and delivery hereof,
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, the said party of the first
part, hath bargained, sold, given, granted and conveyed, and by these
presents doth so bargain, sell, give, grant, and convey unto the
said party of the second part, all that certain hereditament planta=
=tion, or tract of land, lying and being situate in the County and
State aforesaid, known and described as follows, that is to say
Fractional Section four, of Township Eleven, South of Range twenty
one, East, of the Arredondo Grant, according to the Map of said
Arredondo Grant, made Messrs Burr and Washington, and contain
=ing three hundred and sixty one acres more or less, To have and 
to hold the afore granted premises, with all and singular the
appurtenances, and all the Estate, title and interest, of the said
party of the first part therein or to the same in any wise appur
=taining, unto the said party of the second part, his heirs, and
assigns, in fee simple for ever, and the said party of the first
part, doth covenant and agree with the said party of the second
part, that at the time of the delivery of these presents, the
said party of the first part is the lawful owner of the premises
above granted, that he is seized thereof in fee simple, absolute, and
his heirs, Executors and administrators shall warrant and defend the
above granted premises, in the quiet and peaceable possession of the
said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns for ever.
  In Witness Whereof, the said party of the first part hath
hereunto set his hand, and affixed his seal on the day and year
first above written.
