L. Wilson, Sheriff & Ex offico Tax Collecter of Alachua County
Florida and acknowledged and declared that he had executed
the foregoing deed for the purposed therein contained.

This Indenture made the twenty fifth day of May
in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred & fifty-two. Between
Joseph Lawton of Charleston, So Ca party of the first part and George
W. Sanchez of Alachua County Florida party of the second part. Witnesseth
that the said party of the first, for and in consideration of the sum
of Two Thousand dollars, lawful money of the United States of
America, to him in hand hand paid by said party of the second
part at and before the Ensealing and delivery of these presents
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledge, hath granted, bargined,
sold, aliened, remised, released, conveyed and confirmed, and by
these presents doth grant, bargin, sell, alien,remise, release,
convey and confirm , unto the said party of the second part, and
to his heirs and assigns for ever. All that certain Four hundred
acres of land lying being and situate in County of Alachua and
State of Florida and being part and parcel of a Survey of six thousand
acres of land made by the Authority of the Spainish Government to Domingo
Fernandez and the South half of which is possessed by said party of
the first part by sundry conveyances and hath been lately partitioned
and set apart to said Joseph Lawton by George Watson B.M. Dell
Commissioner by virtue of a decree of partition
rendered by the Circuit Court of St. Johns County, Florida in a
certain cause wherein said Lawton was complainant and Joseph
S. Sanchez and other defendants and which said four hundred
acres are more particularly described as follows
Begining at the South East corner of the F.R. Sanchez tract
of land thence N 70° W along the boundry of said tract 23.74 chains
to meet boundrary of Lawton tract being the Southern half of the Fernandez
Grant thence South 25° West along said West boundry to boundry
of the Arredondo Grant 109.94 chains thence along said Arredondo
Grant boundry N 85° E. 46.20 chains to a red oak Post bay N 77 W
11 chs marked S Hickory(L) N 40 E 8 lks thence N 25 E 100.16 chs
said Lawton Northren boundry to Dogwood post - water oak mark to
South 197 1/2 Mkd (S) So 25 W 12 lks water oak (X) N 49 3/4 W 29 lks
it being N 65 W 40 chs to aforesaid West boundry & thence
