Know all Men by these Presents, That I Hetty Marquand Wife
of Frederick Marquand of New York City for divers good causes and
Considerations, and Especially for and in Consideration of the Sum
of Ten Dollars to me in hand paid by Thomas W. Piles of Alachua
County Florida at and before the Ensealing and delivery of these present
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have remised, released, and
forever quit Claimed, and by these presents do remise, release and
forever quit Claim, unto the Said Thomas W. Piles and to his heirs
and assigns, All and all manner of Dower, and right and title of
Dower, and other interest, right or title whatever, which I the said
Hetty Marquand now have, May might,Should, or of right ought
to have, or claim of, in, to or out of all that the within described
premsises, with the appurtenances, granted unto the Said Thomas W.
Piles and every Grant and parcel thereof, And All Manner
of Action and Actions, writ and writs of Dower, or other actions
and right to making Distress whatsoever, So that Neither I the
Said Hetty Marquand nor any other person or persons whatsoever
for me, or in My name, right or Stead, any manner of dower
or Actions, right, or title of dower, or other interest, Claim or demand
Whatsoever, of or in the Said Messuage, tracts and parcels or Land
within Mentioned, or of or in any part or parcel thereof at
any time hereafter, Shall or may have, claim, or prosecute
against the Said Thomas W. Piles his heirs or assigns: And
I the Said Hetty Marquand do hereby acknowledge and declare
that I freely and Voluntarily renounce and relinquish all My
dower and right and title of dower, in the premises within
named, without any Compulsion, Constraint, Apprehension or
fear from my husband, the Said Frederick Marquand

Be it Known that on the 15th day of May
1852 Came before me Frederick Marquand by Geo R. Fairbanks
his Atty and Hetty his Wife by Geo R. Fairbanks her Atty, And the
Said Atty of the heirs, to me Personally Known as the Same individual
who executed the aforegoing instruments of Conveyance and renunciation
and acknowledged the Same to be their Several Acts and deeds
for the Uses and purposes therein expressed by him as their Atty
And the Said Atty of the Said Hetty being further examined
did also Acknowledge in her behalf by virtue of Power of Attorney that
She freely and voluntarily relinquished and renounced all her Dower
and rights and title of Dower, in and to the premises described, without
any Compulsion, Constraint Apprehension or fear of or from her
husband, the Said Frederick Marquand
