                           This Indenture made the thirteenth day of
December one thousand eight-hundred & fifty. Beween Eugene Van Ness
and Charles W. Brush Surviving Executor of the last will and testament
of Dr Nehemiah Brush late of the City & County of New York deceased of
the first-part and Cornelius Rains of Alachua County in the state of Florida
Planter of the Second Part, Witnesseth That the Said parties of the first
part, by virtue of the power and authority to them given in and by the Said
last Will and Testament, and for and in consideration of the sum of 
Eight-hundred ($800) dollars lawful money of the United States of America
to them in hand paid, at or before the Ensealing and delivery of these 
presents, by the said party of the Second part, the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged, and the Said patrty of eh Secind part his heirs Executors
and administrators for ever released and discharged from the same
by these presents, have granted, bargained, sold, aliened, released, con-
veyed and confirmed, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell,
alien, release, convey and confirm, unto the said party of the second
part, his heirs and assigns for ever, All that certain piece or parcel
of land Situate lying and being in the Arredondo Grant in the 
County of Alachua & State of Florida, Which is known and designated
on a certain map of said Grant made by Messrs Burr & Washington
Commissioners & Surveyors, as fraction Section Twenty Two (22) in
Township Ten (10) in Range Ninteen (19) and contains Five
hundred and Thirty-nine 80/100 acres be the same more or less
which said fractional section was purchased by the parties of the 
first-part for the heirs of the said Dr N. Brush at a sale of said
Grant made in Feby 1849 under an order of the Circuit Court of
St Johns County Florida, Which said sale was confirmed by said Court
at it's June term 1849 as by reference to the papers recorded in the
clerks office of the Said County of Alachua, in the case of Brush vs Prall
will more fully appear the said fractional Section of Land is more
particularly described as follows to wit- beginning at the North East
Corner of Section 22 in Township 10 in Range 19 and running westwardly
along section line Eighty-chains (80) to the North West Corner of Said Section
thence Southerly along Section line Eighty-chains (80) to South West Corner
of said section thence easterly, along section line fifty-eight (58) Chains
Fifty one (51) links to line of Garey Grant thence North 45 degrees
West about 20 chains to a corner thence North 43 degrees East
forty five chains & ninety Seven links to East line of said Section
and thence North thirty four (34) chains to place of beginning
      Together with all and singular the edifices, buildings, rights,
members, priviledges, advantages, hereditaments and Appurtenances
to the same belonging, or in any wise Appertaining; and the reversion
and reversions, remainder & remainders rents issues & profits
thereof.  And Also all the Estate, rights, title, interest, claim
and demand whatsoever, both in law & in Equity which
