This indenture made entered into between R.S. Stougton
of the first part and Wm M. Knox of the second part this twenty Eight
day of Feburary 1852. Withnesseth: that Said party of the first part
hereby sells, bargins and conveys, to the said party of the second part,
half acre of land in the east side of the (so known)Public Square in
the village of Micanopy, Alachua Co, Florida. Bound as follows
Commencing at a light wood post in said Public Square and
running North 105 ft, thence running East 210 feet, thence
running South 105 feet, thence running West 210 feet to the
point of beginning, for the sum of one hundred dollars paid in hand.
And said Granter, R.S. Stoughton hereby conveys the said
half acre of land and the said Wm M. Knox receives the said grant
on the condition following, that is to say that said Grantor &
his assigns in prepertuity shall not vend upon said premises any
Ardent Spirits in quantities less than one quart- nor shall he permit
Ardent Spirits sold in larger quantites to be drank on or about
said premises and he agrees that in the forfeiture of these conditions
said premises shall become liable to re-entry by said Grantor or his
heirs.
The party of the first part agrees to defend the Title of the above half
acre of land to the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns
forever.
