This Indenture, made the Fifteenthe day of
March in the year one thousand Eight Hundred and fifty ntwo,
between David Henry Spaight of the City County & State of
New York, pary of the first part and Washington W. Geiger
of Alachua County in the State of Florida, party of the second part
Witnesseth, That the said party of the first part for and in con-
sideration of the sum of Three hundred and fifty-two Dollars
lawful money of the United States of America to me in
hand paid by the said party of the second part, at and before
the Ensealing and delivery of these presents, by the receipt whereof
is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained, sold, aliened,
remised, released, conveyed and confirmed and by these
presents do grant, bargain, sell, alien, remise, release, convey
and confirm unto the said party of the second part and to his
heirs and assigns forever. All that certain tract of land
piece or parcel or lot of land situate lying and being in the
Tract of Land known as the Arredonda Grant, known as Section
(27) twenty-seven in Township (11) Eleven South of Range
(20) Twenty East containing Six hundred & fory acres of land
being in a portion of certain lands in said Grant which by the
final decree of partition thereof bearing date Augt 11th 1849
was decreed Peter J. Nevins as assignee and heirs of James Johnson
and here conveyed by the said Nevins and the said heirs of
Johnson and N. Wells to me by and dated the 2nd day of
April A.D. Eighteen hundred & fifty-nine & duly recorded.
Together with all and singular the tenements, hereditaments
and appurtenances thereto brlonging or in any wise appertaining
and the reversion and reversions, remainder and remainders, rents, issues
and profits thereof; And also, all the estate, right, title, interest
whatsoever, property, possession, claim and demand whatsoever
as well in law as in equity, of the said party of the first part
of in in to the above described premises, and any part and parcel
thereof with the appurtenances.
To have and to hold all and singular the above
mentioned and described premises, together with appurtenances
unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns
forever. And the Said David Henry Haight for himself and
his heirs, the said premises, in the quiet and peaceable possession
of the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns and
the said party of the first part, his heirs and assigns and
against all and every person and persons whomsoever lawfully
claiming or to claim the same Shall & will Warrant
and by these presents forever defend.
