                       I John Bissell, a Commissioner for the state
          and resident in the City of New York, appointed by the Govenor
          of the state of Florida, under the laws and commissioned under
          the great seal of that State, duly affirmed and qualified to take
          testimony, acknowledgements &C &C to be used or recorded in that State
          Do by this instrument given under my hand and official Seal
          Certify that on the 15th day of March 1852 before me in the of
          New York personally appeared Dana Henry Height signed and sealed
          of the annexsed instrument, and acknowledge the same to be his
          free act and deed for the uses and purposes therein mentioned

          Alachua County    )  This Indenture made and entered into between
          J.M. Hendry, Agent for the E. Florida Seminary Lands of the first part
          and Jane W. Brinson of the second part - Witnesseth that the said
          J.M. Hendry hereby by leased unto the said Jane W. Brinson her
          heirs and assigins a lot containing one acre of land No. 12, Twelve
          according to Survey of East Florida Seminary Lands for the term of ninety
          nine years at the expiration of that time, agrees that her heirs and
          assigns or successors in office, shall renew said Lease unto the said
          Jane W. Brinson or heirs and assigns, for the sum of one hundred
          and forty-five dollars Whereof J.M. Hendry hereby acknowledges
          the receipt & the said J.M. Hendry conveys  and Jane W. Brinson
          receives the said land on this condition To Wit- That the said
          Jane W. Brinson heirs and assigns shall not vend any ardent
          Spirits on said land and on forfeiture of said conditions the
          lands aforesaid shall revert to last vender who shall reEnter thereon
          and so on in perpetuity and the J.M. Hendry will defend and
          warrant this lease unto said Jane W. Brinson heirs and assigns
          Whereunto we set our hand & seal in the presents of this
          June 1st 1852
