the Statute in Such case made and provided to be Sold on the
first Monday of March 1852 and afterwards postponed the Said
Sale untill the first Monday of April 1852 pursuant to the
directions of the attorney of the respective plaintiffs and Whereas
on the fifth day of April 1852 being the first Monday of Said
month I duly Exposed the Said lands and premises to Sale at
Public Auction in front of the Court House in the Town of
Newnansville and thereupon the Said George R. Fairbanks having
bid therefor the Sum of Two hundred Dollars and that Sum being
the highest Sum bidder therefor the Said George R. Fairbanks
being the highest bidder I duly Knocked down the said premises
to Said Fairbanks
Now this Indenture witnesseth that in consideration
of the Said Sum of Two Hundred Dollars to me in hand
paid by the Said George R. Fairbanks the receipt whereof is
hereby acknowledged I the Said Charles L. Wilson Sheriff as aforesaid
have granted Sold aliened transfered enfeoffed and conveyed
and by the presents do grant Sell alien transfer enfeoff and
convey unto the Said George R. Fairbanks his heirs and
assigns all the right title an interest possessed by George I.
F. Clark deceased in his life time or on the 8th day of June 1844
in and to a certain tract of land of Six Thousand acres
Situated on Darceys Trail on the South Side of the Santa fee River and
extending from the Natural Bridge of the San Tafee River South
36° East to the Old Town of Alachua called Hog Town being
part of a Fifteen Thousand acre Grant made by the Spanish
Government to George Atkinson on the 20th day of October in
the Year One thousand Eight hundred and Sixteen and confirmed
by the Supreme Court of the United States at January term 1842
To have and to hold the Said premises with the rights
privilidges & appurtenances thereto belonging to the Said George
R. Fairbanks his heirs and assigns forever
In Witness Whereof I the Said Charles L. Wilson
Sheriff as aforesaid by virtue of the Statute in Such
Case made and provided have executed these presents
at Newnansville and affixed my hand and Seal the day
and year first above written
